Job Summary

The Delivery Manager will oversee and manage software projects from start to completion, working closely with the engineering team to ensure successful project delivery, client satisfaction, and meeting revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Accountability: Fully responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Client Engagement: Identify and engage potential clients to gather project requirements.
  • Scope Review: Align with the lead engineer to generate precise project scope, cost, and timelines.
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with the lead engineer to create viable project plans, including creating Trello cards and assigning tasks.
  • Team Efficiency: Ensure task delivery, monitor project risks (e.g., scope creep, blockers, delays), and create solutions for timely project delivery.
  • Project Tracking: Track project milestones, deliverables, timelines, and change requests at both individual and team levels using tools like Trello, Sheets, and Slack.
  • Quality Assurance: Execute timely testing of the engineer’s work to ensure client requirements are met with acceptable quality.
  • Communication Management: Manage communication between the team, company management, and clients, involving ad-hoc, daily, weekly, monthly, and annual meetings.
  • Reporting: Prepare, maintain, and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports about projects and team performance to the CEO.
  • Team Health: Work with management to ensure team profitability and health, including recruitment, leave management, payouts, etc.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience in software programming.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a software engineer.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading or managing software projects.
  • Skills:
    • Decision-making and team motivation
    • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
    • Result-oriented
    • Understanding of software project business
    • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking
    • Ability to work independently and proactively
    • Knowledge of PHP/WordPress and JavaScript is an added advantage
