Job Description:
Our client, Women In Technology Uganda (WITU), is seeking a professional Office Assistant to oversee clerical tasks, such as sorting and sending mail, maintaining inventory of office supplies, and ensuring that the workplace is neat and clean for staff, visitors, or clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handling incoming calls and other communications.
  • Managing the filing system.
  • Recording information as needed.
  • Greeting clients and visitors as needed.
  • Updating paperwork, maintaining documents, and word processing.
  • Helping organize and maintain office common areas.
  • Performing general office clerk duties and errands.
  • Organizing travel by booking accommodation and reservation needs as required.
  • Coordinating events as necessary.
  • Maintaining supply inventory.
  • Maintaining office equipment as needed.
  • Aiding with client reception as needed.
  • Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • At least an A’level certificate.
  • Warm personality with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision.
  • Experience as an office assistant or in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of office management procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
