You will be required to provide proper nursing services to children, health education, counselling, Nutritional planning, Nursing consultations and any other Health requirement as may be directed by your supervisor at all times on a daily basis..
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor patient’ condition and asses their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
• Observe and interpret patients’ symptoms and communicate them to physicians
• Collaborate with physicians and House Parents to devise individualized care plans for the children
• Perform routine procedures and fill in the patient; charts
• Adjust and Administer patient’ medication and provide treatments
• Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces)
• Provide instant medical; care in emergencies
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for the children
• Monitor patient vitals to detect changes in symptoms, health and pain
• Administer medication
• Set up procedures with appropriate tools, maintain a full inventory of supplies
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules,and regulations
• Communicate clearly and directly with the children, and provide emotional support to children under stress.
• Provide a monthly report on the status of the Children to Head Office
• Continuous coordination with the House Parents
• Any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• A Degree in Nursing.
• A Certificate in Para- Counselling and good clinical practice from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
• Utmost Three years of working experience in a child-related environment.
• Computer Literacy and Documentation Skills are essential to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Accurate attention to detail.
• Goal-oriented, organized team player.
• Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
