Job Summary: Victoria Forest Resort Ltd invites applications from qualified Ugandans to fill the above stock controller position
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting daily stock counts and reconciling any discrepancies.
- Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of stock, avoiding stockouts and overstock situations.
- Analyze sales trends, customer demand, and market conditions to forecast future inventory needs and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with sales team to understand customer demand and ensure that stock levels align with anticipated sales volumes.
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures, including stock rotation, first-in-first-out (FIFO) principles, and proper storage practices.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree or UACE certificate
- Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
- Good understanding of supply chain management concepts.
- Excellent numerical and mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting and moving of stock
