Job Description
Position: Relationship Manager – Commercial/SME
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting to: Head of Commercial/SME
Key Accountabilities:
- Relationship Management: Ensure customer retention, loyalty, preference, and devotion by providing superior relationship management.
- New Business Sourcing: Source new SME relationships that have the potential to grow and provide superior returns.
- Market Insights: Identify and disseminate information to/from the market/customers and alert management on trends, risks, and opportunities to maximize and sustain revenue.
- Customer Service: Promote and maintain the highest standards of customer service to maximize returns from existing relationships and attract new business from targeted customers.
- Risk Management: Monitor and enhance the business portfolio risk profile within agreed parameters with the Risk unit to minimize non-performing assets and ensure the accumulation of deposits, generating an inexpensive and stable base.
- Brand Enhancement: Constantly explore ways to enhance the Bank’s brand name, positioning it as one of the best in SME fields for service, innovation, and customer awareness/responsiveness.
- Documentation: Appraise opportunities for synergy and keep well-documented reports/visits/contracts with all relationships, the bank’s management, and other units.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: A University degree in business-related fields.
- Certification: Certified Credit Analyst.
- Experience: At least 3 years of banking experience, with 2 years in relationship management or sales.
- Skills:
- Ability to work under pressure.
- In-depth understanding of all bank products.
- Proficiency in computer applications, especially spreadsheets, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Outgoing, self-motivated, assertive, and proactive.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage time and pressure effectively.
- Ability to keep abreast of market changes, customer requirements, competitors’ responses, and identify new business opportunities and threats.
- Business acumen.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent relationship management skills.

- A self-starter oriented towards meeting deadlines.
- A good team player who can work with minimal supervision.
Work Hours: 8 hours per day
Experience: 36 months
Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree
