Job Description

Position: Manager New Business
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Accountabilities:

  • Relationship Building: Effectively build relationships in workplace banking and provide direct support to sales teams in managing these relationships.
  • Cross-Selling: Successfully cross-sell and deep-sell the bank’s services and products to the target market to grow the retail banking portfolios as per established targets.
  • Income Opportunities: Develop opportunities to increase commission-based income and create awareness to continuously increase the usage of DFCU branches and electronic delivery channels.
  • Business Acquisition: Acquire new business through the DSR channel to grow the balance sheet.
  • Team Management: Train, coach, and manage the Direct Sales Representatives to attain the required productivity.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other relevant bodies to ensure the company maximizes its sales potential.
  • Competitor Monitoring: Monitor competitor activity to ensure that the company maintains and develops its competitive position through continuous feedback from the market.
  • Branch Support: Provide support to the branches in terms of sales and periodic visits.
  • Deposit Mobilization: Mobilize deposits for Retail Banking through sales activations.
  • Channel Usage: Develop opportunities to increase commission-based income and create awareness to continuously increase usage of the branches and electronic delivery channels.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree with a bias in a business-related field.
  • Training: Sales leadership training.
  • Professional Experience: 5 years of professional experience in banking, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within retail sales.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to influence and maintain solid working relationships with corporate companies.
    • Ability to plan and execute sales drives in a competitive environment.
    • Exposure to customer service and the ability to handle conflicts and client complaints.
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
    • Proficiency in computer applications, especially spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and word processors.
    • Team player with the ability to lead and work under minimum supervision.
    • People management skills with the ability to influence others to deliver.
    • Strong knowledge of bank products.
    • Ability to manage time and pressure effectively to ensure no loss of efficiency.
    • Good leadership and organizational skills.
    • Aggressive selling skills.
    • Business acumen.

Work Hours: 8 hours per day
Experience: 60 months
Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree
