Oil palm Uganda Limited (OPUL) has established over 6,000 hectares of oil palm supported by over 5,000 hectares of small holder farmers on Kalangala Bugala Island. The crude oil is shipped to the refinery at Masese Jinja at Bidco Uganda Limited (BUL) for manufacture of oils, fats, soap and detergents.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Managing the recruitment process especially for the local staffs.
• Updating of Staff Payroll together with Finance department.
• Processing of work permits for the expatriate staffs from Immigration department under ministry of Internal Affairs.
• Responsible for staff Welfare for all staffs.
• Carryout staff appraisals annually for performance purposes
• Management of the Medical scheme in the company (Company Clinic).
• Preparing and issuing Ids to staffs.
• Ensuring compliance of Company policies by all staffs both local and Expatriates.
• Management of disciplinary proceedings in the company.
• Handling conflicts at the work place.
• Preparing and keeping track of the leaves i.e. annual, sick leaves etc.
• Tracking late comers through the use of geometric machine
Required Qualifications:
• A graduate with an Honours Degree in Human Resource Management, or Organizational Psychology, or a related
• At least 5 years’ experience in human resource management in an organization that has a large workforce.
• Avery organized individual with excellent time management skills, the ability to analyze information quickly, and good problem-solving skills;
• Should be familiarized with the local employment laws
• Ability to relate with all levels of staff and management within the organization.
