Job Description: As part of the Operations Department, the Area Manager is responsible for overseeing and developing multiple optical services branches across Uganda. This role involves extensive travel within the territory to manage and train Branch Managers and their teams. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Area Manager plays a crucial role in implementing sales strategies, ensuring branch profitability, and maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the territory, products, and customer needs.
- Lead, train, and motivate Branch Managers to exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.
- Implement and monitor sales strategies to enhance brand awareness and increase branch profitability.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures across all branches, including maintenance, uniform standards, and financial management.
- Support the Operations Manager in opening and developing new branches as required.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in retail or business management, with proven leadership skills.
- Proficiency in accounting and analysis software (e.g., Excel).
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and develop teams, with a proactive and organized approach to business operations.
