Job Description:
Position: Raw Materials Controller
Employment Terms: Full-time
Reports to: Unit Manager Processing
Primary Role:
The primary role of this position is to ensure all stock is received, issued, and accounted for with minimum variance and supervision of Raw Materials Stores.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all materials are placed in their right store locations.
- Ensure materials are correctly labeled according to prescribed standards.
- Ensure materials stored are in compliance with the material master data.
- Conduct daily, monthly, and annual stock takes.
- Verify the return of materials to stock by ensuring the materials are safely protected and are still in the original condition.
- Ensure materials are delivered according to Company specifications.
- Ensure new deliveries undergo quality inspection and are received physically and on the system timely.
- Report and follow up all quality non-conforming materials with relevant stakeholders.
- Stop and report any safety concerns related to raw material stores to prevent unsafe conditions as outlined in the Risk Assessments.
- Lead and supervise the stores team.
Skills, Experience & Education Qualifications:
Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Stores Management, Inventory, Logistics Management, Procurement, or a related field.
Experience:
- One year of supervisory experience in Stores operations, preferably in an FMCG.
Competencies:
- Knowledge of procurement and logistics procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Basic materials handling knowledge.
- Good communication skills.
- Stores and inventory management skills.
- Document management ability.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Planning, organizing, and controlling skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Customer orientation.
