Job Description:

As a Quality Control Analyst at Abacus Pharma, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely testing of all samples. This role requires strict adherence to current and evolving quality procedures and principles. You will prioritize testing, manage resources, and communicate effectively at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance:
    • Adhere to CGMP, GLP, and relevant ISO procedures guiding all Q.C. processes.
  • Testing:
    • Conduct quality control tests on water, bulk, raw material stability samples, and finished products.
  • Documentation:
    • Document and prepare reports for all Q.C. activities performed online.
    • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment as per the plan.
  • SOPs and COAs:
    • Interpret documents in the QC process.
    • Revise and prepare SOPs and COAs as required.
  • Method Validation:
    • Perform method validation and verification for new methods.
    • Establish specifications.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Participate in OOS, OOT investigations, deviation handling, change control, CAPA closure, and quality risk management.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing:
    • Engage in training, knowledge sharing, and transfer activities.
  • Sampling and Preparation:
    • Sample RM, FP, prepare reagents, and standardize reagents per production plan requirements.
  • Calibration:
    • Calibrate glassware and equipment.
    • Prepare working standards and handle and maintain reference standards.
  • Reporting:
    • Perform online reporting and keep records.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively within the team and escalate issues timely.
  • Safety:
    • Use provided personal protective gear appropriately.
    • Investigate and report all incidences, near misses, and accidents.

Authorities:

  • Signing work reports.
  • Requesting reports and logbooks.
  • Releasing intermediate samples.
  • Requesting chemicals, glassware, and other consumables.
  • Conducting chemical analysis of all sample types.

Competencies:

  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to changes.
  • Innovative and creative problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:

  • BSc in Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or an equivalent degree.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry is an advantage.
