Job Purpose:
- Perform consultations in OPD (Outpatient Department) and IPD (Inpatient Department) units in line with Ministry of Health (MoH) protocol and clinical guidelines.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage patients.
- Perform surgery within competency.
- Control the rational distribution of medicine to improve patients’ health conditions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery.
- Registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
- Valid practicing license.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in hospital practice.
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of primary health care, maternal and child health, reproductive health, HIV and AIDS, communicable diseases, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology.
- Understanding of professional clinical medicine principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Familiarity with surgery methods and best practices.
- Knowledge of medicines, hygiene management, and IPC (Infection Prevention and Control) protocol.
- Proactive with high-level knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Luganda.
