We seek a highly motivated and organized IT Project Management Officer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects. You will support, standardize, and oversee the project management lifecycle for all IT initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with IT leadership and project managers to define, prioritize, and develop IT projects.
• Assist project managers in planning and executing projects, including:
• Setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning resources.
• Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Develop and maintain project management templates, methodologies, and best practices for the IT department.
• Implement and manage project management tools and software.
• Track project progress, identify and manage risks, and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including status reports, risk logs, and issue logs.
• Communicate project status updates to senior management, project sponsors, and team members.
• Conduct project portfolio management to ensure alignment with IT and organizational goals.
• Analyze project performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Support and guide project managers on project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest project management trends and technologies.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within an IT environment.
• Proven experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2.
• Strong understanding of project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Asana.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Essential Requirements:
• Experience working in an IT PMO environment.
• ITIL or PMI certifications.
• Experience with IT service management (ITSM) processes.
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
• Practical oral and written communication skills, Organizational and time management skills
• Effective problem-solving ability.
• Customer Service skills.
• Adapt quickly to unfamiliar situations.
• Embrace a continuous learning mentality.
• Work in a team environment.
