Job Summary: We are looking for a passionate and customer-oriented individual to join our team at Ntusi Veterinary Shop in Sembabule. In this role, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients and their livestock by providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience. We encourage females to consider this role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting livestock supplies and medications.
- Answer customer questions about livestock products and services offered by local veterinarians.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
- Stock shelves and ensure proper inventory levels.
- Process customer payments and transactions.
- Assist with minor administrative tasks (filing, billing).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma in Animal Health and Management, Livestock Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Must have a license with at least UBV.
- Experience working in a vet shop, and/or experience as a veterinary extension officer or veterinary receptionist.
- Passion for livestock care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Creativity and problem-solving aptitude.
- Fluency in one or more of the following languages: Runyankole, Rutooro, Runyooro, Rukiga.
