Quality Assurance Quality Controller Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa /CCBA is the largest African Coca-Cola bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on
the continent. Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda /CCBU is a subsidiary of CCBA, and we are currently seeking to recruit a Quality
Assurance Quality Controller (QAQC) based in Kampala. As a QAQC, you will report directly to the Quality Assurance Technologist.

Key Purpose Statement.
The primary role of the QAQC is to conduct analytical and/or quality control tests in line with company standards. Compile
reports and communicate non-conformance reports for raw materials, packaging and final product.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outputs and Accountabilities.
• Operating the Quality Assurance lab according to the work instructions and adhering to GLPs.
• Carrying out the product sampling as described in the quality control plan.
• Performing housekeeping tasks, applying 5s principles and following safe work practices.
• Identifying and correcting unsafe work practices.
• Training fellow employees on GMP requirements.
• Participating in problem solving to drive process improvement for identified process exposures.
• Carrying out routine lab equipment inspections and consumables stock take and reporting to supervisor.
• Participating and carrying out lab proficiency testing as per defined frequency.
• Participating in HSE, Quality and Food Safety Management system meetings as an SME.
• Reporting food safety, defense and fraud related issues to food safety team leader designate (SHEQ manager)
• Any other duties assigned by Supervisor/manager.

Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications
• •Minimum requirement: BSc. Degree in Food Science, Biology, industrial chemistry, or Microbiology.

Experience
• At least 3 years in an FMCG Industry.

• Understanding of application of WCM foundational practices
• Troubleshooting skills
• Quality control practices and principles
• Bottling principles and processes
• Product handling knowledge
• Computer knowledge
• Understanding of SHEQ policies and procedures
