Position Details
Job Title: Hospital Accountant
Reports to: Finance and Administration Manager
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of an Accounting first degree.
- ACCA Part 2 or CPA equivalent.
- Three (3) years demonstrative working experience in a reputable institution.
- Experience in using QuickBooks is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and reports, and annual statutory accounts.
- Ensure effective control of income, cash flow, and expenditure.
- Implement approved accounting procedures/internal controls across the business and suggest regular improvements to internal controls.
- Prepare the monthly payroll with accurate statutory deductions, ensuring deduction of staff advances and other appropriate deductions.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of all accounting records.
- Manage performance of accounts payables, receivables, and budget controls, ensuring regular appraisals and feedback.
- Collect budget input data, prepare and consolidate budgets.
- Understand and address the training needs of subordinates, and ensure discipline within the team.
