About the Program:
The Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme, a collaborative effort between the African Union and the European Union under the Pan-African Partnership, aims to foster academic mobility and cooperation across Africa. The ESIMSAD program, which stands for Electrochemical Science and Innovative Materials for Sustainable Africa Development, is organized by four African Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and one EU Technical partner.
Requirements:
- Applications are open exclusively to nationals of African countries for scholarships in the fields of Materials Science, Solar Energy, Physics, Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Electrochemistry, and Energy Technologies, offered under the ESIMSAD project.
- ESIMSAD scholarships are jointly administered by four African partner Universities, namely AAU, WITS, UNN, and AASTU, where selected students and staff will have the opportunity to engage in postgraduate studies, research, teaching, or training.
Scholarship Benefits:
- The ESIMSAD individual scholarships cover one roundtrip flight ticket, visa costs, participation costs, comprehensive insurance coverage (health, accident, and travel), and a monthly subsistence allowance. Recipients can use the monthly allowance to cover accommodation expenses. The allowance amount varies per mobility option and can be found under ‘Scholarship Information and guidelines.’
