PRIMARY FUNCTION
Ensure Electrical and Instrumentation equipment installation in Hazardous Areas follows relevant technical Specification, local and international Codes and Standards to prevent potential explosion in Hazardous Areas.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in the writing of Verification & Control Activity Report (VCAR), defining Scope of work & budget on ATEX subject.
• If needed, carry out inspection of installation & commissioning activities as per approved ATEX procedure.
• Perform detailed and Closed Inspections on new and existing Atex E&I facilities including Maintenance Shutdowns and Turnarounds active.
• Issue Non-conformities on Ex equipment found with defects and create Work Request on EAM.
• Update, validate, and sign on the Atex anomaly register and high-risk items.
• Issue Atex Compliance Certificate on PSSR activities during construction, maintenance or shutdowns and Turnarounds start-up.
• Assists in reviewing documentation on Atex equipment procurement inquiries.
• Able to execute and implement IEC 60079 10/14/17, IEC 61241 10/14/17 and other equivalent Ex Schemes if non-conformance is found on Electrical and Instrumentation equipment installed in Hazardous Areas.
• Able to implement practicable recommendations and decision-making (ALARP) in high-level issue arises to mitigate the risk in Hazardous Areas.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMNTS
EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Equivalent.

MAJOR
• Valid COMPEX EX01-EX04/EEHA Certification is required

EXPERIENCE
• At least 5 years of experience
• At least 3 similar experiences working in international projects

KNOWLEDGE
• Knowledge of ATEX and various international/Project standards
• Minimum Certificate of Registered Supervision Engineer or equivalent
• Extensive knowledge of construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Extensive knowledge of safety in the oil and gas industry.

CAPABILITY
• Familiar with Corrosion and Insulation works for oil field site construction projects.
• Have similar working experience in international projects.
• Ability to review and analyze report compliance with approved procedure requirement.
• Good health is required.

OTHER
• Good at using micro-office software and CAD software.
• Strong executive ability, clear working ideas, strong communication skills, team spirit, good interpersonal skills.
