Fins Medical University ( FMU ) project is located in Fort Portal, Kabarole District. The institution started in 2010 as a nursing and midwifery Training school offering diploma and certificates. It has since grown to become one of Uganda’s biggest and best nursing and midwifery training school. it’s now in the process of becoming the first Medical University in Africa. With a letter of Interim authority from National Council for Higher Education, we are set to make history.
Duties and Responsibilities for the above posts:
• Sets tests, examinations and course work.
• Administers and invigilates tests and examinations.
• Marks tests, course work and examinations scripts, compiles and grades examination results.
• Guides and advises students on their academic performance.
• Conducts research and disseminates research findings through conferences, seminars and publications.
• Supervises undergraduate and post graduate students undertaking research projects.
• Conducts seminars and tutorials.
• Carnes out official administrative duties in the department as directed by the Head of Department.
• Contributes to the University and wider society through community service.
• Prepares well-researched lectures and delivers them to undergraduate and post-graduate students.
Qualifications and Responsibilities
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Should have teaching experience with a minimum qualification of Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Should have proven academic ability in research publication and teaching
• Should have a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience at a recognized academic institution.
• Should have supervised at least three (3) graduate students to completion.
• Should have a good track record of service to the public.
• Demonstrated computer literacy.
• Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
