As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and jolly good Back-End Software Engineer to join our team.
A ChapChap Back-End Software Engineer is a values-driven professional who is dedicated to crafting robust and efficient software solutions to enhance user experiences and support the company’s growth objectives. This role focuses on developing and maintaining the back-end systems and infrastructure that power ChapChap’s digital platform. This role reports to the CTO.
Applicant Responsibilities:
• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs using C# and .NET framework.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that meet business requirements.
Ensuring code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Contributing to architectural discussions and driving technical initiatives.
Applicant Requirements:
• Expertise in C# programming language and at least one other server side language.
• In-depth knowledge of API design using .NET framework and implementation best practices
Proficiency in database management, particularly NoSQL and SQL databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of C# syntax.
• Experience with AWS services including ECS, S3, AmazonMQ, and SQS, and familiarity with serverless app architecture on AWS.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer, preferably in backend development.
• Ability to provide strategic advice on best practices and emerging technologies.
• Proven track record of thought leadership in the field of software engineering.

Special Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on designing scalable and efficient solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Experience in performance optimization and tuning of backend systems for optimal response times and resource utilization.
• Proficiency in version control systems such as Git, including branching strategies and code management workflows.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in technology and software engineering practices.
