Quality Plastics (U) LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surface Grinding Operator to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities.
• Prepare and set up the surface grinding machine, ensuring proper alignment, fixture installation, and calibration of tools.
• Examine raw materials for defects, adherence to specifications, and suitability for the grinding process.
• Interpret and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine grinding specifications and requirements.
• Choose appropriate grinding wheels, abrasives, and dressing tools based on material type, hardness, and desired finish.
• Secure workpieces onto the grinding machine using clamps, magnetic chucks, or other fixtures to prevent movement during the grinding process.
• Operate the surface grinding machine to grind and finish workpieces, maintaining precise control over depth, feed rate, and wheel speed.
• Inspect finished parts for surface finish, dimensions, and overall quality, ensuring adherence to specified tolerances and requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance on grinding wheels, dressers, and other accessories to ensure optimal performance and extend tool life.
• Identify and address issues such as wheel wear, machine malfunctions, or quality deviations promptly, taking corrective actions as necessary.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe handling of materials, and awareness of potential hazards.
• Work closely with other team members, quality control personnel, and supervisors to ensure effective communication and coordination in the manufacturing process.

• Performing any other duties as may be assigned by Management
Requirements
• Minimum Experience: 5+ years as Surface Grinding Machine Operator.
• Minimum Education: Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent knowledge in English (verbal and written).
• Good Knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good knowledge of applicable standards, local rules and regulations.
