Job Summary:   We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Factory Manager to oversee our PET Preforms and Closure factory operations. The Factory Manager will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient production, quality control, adherence to safety standards, and maintenance of equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to achieving production targets while meeting the highest quality standards.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of production staff, including machine operators, technicians, and quality control personnel.
  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to promote a positive work environment.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the production process to meet production targets.
  • Monitor production cycles on machines, ensuring optimal efficiency.
  • Manage raw material requirements to maintain continuous production.
  • Ensure product quality meets the highest standards and complies with various quality certifications, including FSSC, QMS, HACCP, Food & Safety, SGS, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and address minor technical issues in production processes.
  • Liaise with machine supplier engineers for any machine defects and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate and schedule planned preventive maintenance for all equipment and machinery.
  • Report machine defects and maintenance requirements to the engineering department and management.
  • Oversee the Stores in charge and ensure accurate reporting, checking, and maintenance of stock.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy to support production needs.
  • Implement performance evaluation processes for staff to identify areas of improvement and recognize exceptional performance.
  • Regularly report to management on daily production, efficiency, and wastage.
  • Maintain effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant quality, safety, and environmental standards and certifications.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities and tasks as required by the management to support factory operations and business goals.
