Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Duty station: Watoto Church Monstriwn, Kampala
Watoto Church Ministries has experienced exponential growth in the past couple of years composed of multiple Celebration Centers (Campuses) and diverse Community care initiatives that include Childcare, Community and Neighborhood, Education and FM Radio amongst others. In all of this, Watoto remains a local church, committed to celebrating Christ and caring for community.
We are seeking to recruit a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to ensure effective performance management and documentation of outcomes of Watoto activities through MEL.
Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)
1. Strategy and policy development
• Develop the performance monitoring and evaluation system for Watoto Ministries.
• Provide support in the harmonization of policies and guidelines related to monitoring, evaluation, and Learning.
Develop monitoring and evaluation strategy for monitoring and evaluating Watoto’s results and outcomes.
• Develop standard operating procedures and forms for monitoring and evaluation for Watoto Ministries and evaluate the performance indicators of various activities.
2. Planning
• Support in the development of Watoto Ministry strategic plans.
• Participate in the design and formulation of Watoto strategic, development plans and programs.
• Provides technical guidance to departments in the development of annual operational plans and develop standard operating procedures and forms for planning.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
• The applicant for the role should hold at least a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in economics, planning, development studies or in any relevant field from a reputable university.
• Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of working experience in a large organization in a similar role
• Computer literacy in MS Office packages (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS project), MS project and database management.
• Good interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, work and relate with people from diverse backgrounds,
• Strong work ethic.
