We are looking for a qualified. experienced and result oriented professional to fill the following vacancy.
Job Title: Program Producer – 1 POSITION
Reports to: Head of Production
Department: Production
JOB PURPOSE:
To conceptualize, plan for and produce TV programs that educate, inform, entertain and earn revenue for Africa Broadcasting Uganda Limited.
Main Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize programs ideas and come up with a storyboard and scripts for internal/external broadcasts and for clients.
• Creates the overall aesthetic visual presentation and branding of assigned shows while following the programs guidelines and concepts.
• Plans production with crew, clients, decides schedules and timelines.
• Liaises with the technical staff to produce raw footage for editing in conformity with the programme concept and client brief.
• Monitor in-house creative and technical units in the development, production and post-production of programs.
• Create and manage the production budget of the programs
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Academic: University Degree in Mass Communication or any related field from an accredited institution.
2. Professional: Diploma in TV Production
3. Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of production experience with emphasis on Television production
Core Competencies
• Passion for writing Documentary and Reality TV shows
• Possesses broad knowledge of local, regional and International issues and/or depth knowledge
• Ability to work accurately & under pressure
• Deadline driven
• Computer Literate
• Must have a good eye for detail
• Must be able to deal effectively with simultaneous tasks
• Excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills
• Must be able to demonstrate a unique skills set in managing digital media television production workflow systems.
