About Healthy Entrepreneurs:

Healthy Entrepreneurs (HE) is a social enterprise based in Uganda (and 6 other countries). HE aims to improve the access to basic health care for people living in rural and remote communities (84% of the population). HE recruits and trains VHTs or Community Health Workers who have entrepreneurial spirit and skills. They pay a commitment fee and are provided with the tools and products to become Community Health Entrepreneurs (CHEs), serving their communities by selling reliable and affordable health products and services, educating communities and providing access to a doctor-at-distance. HE is implementing its franchise model via more than 13,000 Community Health Entrepreneurs (our customers) in 60 districts of Uganda today. We are growing towards a network of 20.000 customers, serving 95% of rural Uganda by the end of 2024. Our commercial sales teams provide business coaching to our CHEs and helps them replenish stock and run their micro-business through telesales and live trainings.

 

Our operational sales team ensures that our customers around Uganda are delivered bi-weekly reliably and smoothly. Together with our drivers team they visit the clusters of CHEs and deliver the products ordered. Job Summary:   The HE Operational Sales Officer reports directly to the operational sales manager. His/her main concern is to ensure efficient and effective flow of operational processes within a given districts/regions. The role of Operational Sales Officer encompasses the coordination of preparation, execution and reconciliation of deliveries of orders.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Efficient and effective coordination, execution and administration of deliveries
  • Ensure smooth preparation and delivery of products that have been ordered and paid for by CHEs to different locations within the districts assigned.
  • Verification of packed orders before leaving HE Warehouse against the Sales Order Batches both in the systems and or printed copies.
  • Ensure and promote a robust customer experience, through:
    • Avoidance of missed products
    • Timely drops (deliveries to the clusters of CHEs)
    • Resolution of issues in the issue tracker
    • Recommendation for improvement that enhance Customer Experience and collect information from the field.
  • Keep in touch with DHOs occasionally and be an ambassador for HE and what is stands for.
  • Handling order payments and loan repayments by CHEs (mostly Mobile Money, partly cash) with utmost transparency and integrity.
  • Work closely with the Finance and Warehouse team to make all necessary reconciliations within the required timelines.
  • Work closely with driver team

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

  • Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Sales Related fields or alternatively a Diploma in Pharmacy / Nursing/Clinical medicine or Social work.
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal and at least one Ugandan language
  • Know how to use computer software (ERPs/Odoo, Excel reporting, MS Office/word, Outlook Calendar)
