The Uganda Conservation Foundation is a UK charity and Ugandan non-profit, registered locally as Uganda Conservation (U) Ltd. UCF’s mission is to support in safeguarding Uganda’s natural heritage and regional development by implementing practical conservation and regional development programmes, influencing policy-makers and engaging the public. We work closely with the Uganda Wildlife Authority, and have projects in and around the protected areas in the country.
Duration: 3 months
Responsibilities:
• Assist in creating engaging content for various communication channels including digital platforms, press releases, newsletters, and internal communications.
• Support social media management and content development.
• Measure the success of social media
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance according to agreed KPIs and generate the relevant reports regularly
• Stay abreast of industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms to keep the organization’s media and communications strategy agile and effective
• Collaborate on the development of marketing and communication materials and campaigns.
• Assist in the planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless coordination and effective promotion.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the organization’s website, ensuring content accuracy and relevance.
Qualifications:
• Recently graduated from the university with a degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Creative mindset and ability to think outside the box.
Note:
• This is an unpaid position for a 3-month period, after which the candidate may be considered for a fulltime, paid position, subject to performance.
