Uganda Transport Officer One Acre Fund

You will deliver reliable, safe, and punctual driving services to One Acre Fund staff, visitors, and transporting inputs and goods and ensures safety and security of the vehicle, passengers, and any items under your care during transport. You will report to the Transport Supervisor in Corporate Operations Department working mainly out of the Jinja, Uganda with travel around Uganda.

Responsibilities
• Transport safely OAF staff, visitors, inputs, goods, and documentation to designated work-related destinations.
• Coordinate logistics for transportation, including scheduling pick-up and drop-off times, optimizing routes, and anticipating potential delays or obstacles to ensure arrivals and departures.
Monitor and inspect vehicles, ensuring that they are in optimal condition for safe and efficient operation
• Document and maintain accurate daily records for vehicles, meticulously logging all trips, mileage covered and any maintenance activities.

Qualifications
• Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
• 3 years of experience as a driver with a valid class B drivers license (both automatic and manual)
• Minimum grade 12 certificate.
• A high degree of punctuality and reliability is required.
• First Aid, fire safety and minor vehicle repair skills.
Knowledge of driving rules and regulations, chauffeur protocol and courtesies, and local roads and conditions
• Fluency in verbal English.
