Duties And Responsibilities (include But Are Not Limited To)
• Managing all aspects of Public Relations, Group Communications and Group Events for the business
• Integration, alignment and monitoring of Communication strategies across various channels including digital and social media platforms
• Working with HR and Heads of Departments on employee communications and engagement projects
• Developing key communications collateral for both internal and external stakeholders (briefing documents, corporate portfolios, spokesperson bios, articles, speeches, scripts, press releases, social media and blog content, proposals, presentations, reports, internal communications, staff magazine, partner newsletters, video content)
• Research, copywriting, editing and proofreading
• Developing monthly reports for Executive Management
• Briefing designers and writers for events, communications and brand collateral
• Coordinating studio or location photography/videography
• Liaising and building relationships with key industry and in-country (Africa) media
• Generating coverage/publicity through distribution tool
• Daily monitoring of key media to identify opportunities
• Collating, analysing and evaluating media coverage
• Promoting internal and external corporate identity and culture
• Project and event development and management
• Training, supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Managing PR agency and external suppliers
• Scheduling newsroom visits, stakeholder interviews and industry speaker events
• Briefing and managing key spokespersons across various areas of the business
• Managing the PR aspect of a possible crisis situation
• Be the face of the company at key industry and media events
Requirements
Key Requirements
• Tertiary degree or diploma in PR or Communications
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a PR and/or Communications role
• Knowledge of Digital marketing services
• Experience in B2B and B2C
• Knowledge of social media platforms
• Strong media relations
• Knowledge of industry experts and influencers
• Skilled in Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of media monitoring tools
