Main Purpose:
• Responsible for managing the relationship with the government-owned customer (“customer”) in Uganda
• Day-to-day communications with the customer on operations issues including truck loadings and offloading’s
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring smooth communication with the customer
• Daily reporting to teams on any issues arising during logistics on the fuel supply
• Following up and monitoring the operations at the loading and receiving terminals
• Monitoring the sales of petroleum product from the customer to the OMCs
• Structure the collateral management system for the product being sold and released from Kenya or Tanzania
• Coordinate the operations with the local surveyors and superintendents
Experience:
• At least 10 years’ experience as an Operation Manager in a major industrial company.
• Managing depot/terminal engineering projects would be an advantage.
• Prior experience in Oil and Gas / Logistics sector
Skills:
• Microsoft Office Suite applications; Presentation tools and programs
• Knowledge of the international codes and standards in petroleum terminals (product handling, measurement, storage)
• Knowledgeable in Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Protection
• Excellent project, planning and time management capabilities
• Excellent at troubleshooting and problem solving
