Job Summary:  Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda Limited is a subsidiary of CCBA. we are currently seeking to recruit a Process Operator – Syrup room, based in Kampala. As a Process Operator – Syrup room, you will report directly to the Team Leader Processing

 

The primary role of the process operator is to operate the syrup room process equipment according to work instructions, monitor and control the syrup manufacturing process.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operating the process equipment according to the work instructions and adhering to usage standards.
  • Carrying out the required quality checks as described in the quality control and analysis work practice.
  • Performing housekeeping tasks, applying 5s principles and following safe work practices.
  • Identifying and correcting unsafe work practices.
  • Supporting fellow team members in the execution of their tasks.
  • Carrying out quality checks and analysis as per the quality procedures.
  • Recording the results of quality checks on the relevant documentation or information system.
  • Using the gap list to record issues, problems, and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitoring usage variances to fit within the set targets.
  • Applying the appropriate situational problem-solving techniques (e.g., 5Why, quick fix routines, OPL’s (One Point Lessons), etc.) to identify and correct the problem.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Degree in Food Science, Industrial chemistry, Chemical Engineering or any other related field
  • Added advantage: Computer and technical skills.
  • All aspects of Food processing operations and process control
  • Ability to work in teams.
  • Understanding of application of WCM foundational practices
  • Troubleshooting skills & computer skills
  • Quality control practices and principles
  • Bottling principles and processes
  • Product handling knowledge
  • Understanding of SHEQ policies and procedures
