A Projects Officer is an administrative staff offering technical and monitoring roles in overseeing project implementation and budgeting.
Qualifications:
• Must have a university degree in relevant fields from a recognised Institution with good accounting background.
• Must have good computer skills in relevant packages
The ideal person must be a good team player, able to work well with all parties involved
• A post graduate diploma in project planning and Management is an added advantage
• Not more than 40yrs of age
Duties and Responsibilities
• To participate in planning, budget development and monitoring of project activity implementation
• Preparation of documents and participation in internal and external audit for Hospital and
• External partners respectively
• To work with staff attached to the project to ensure smooth flow of activities
• To enforce compliance with project partner requirements
To monitor implementation against predetermined targets as per MoU
• Is responsible for management & monitoring of project fixed assets
To submit periodic reports to the project partners in consultation with the supervisor
Is responsible for organising meetings with project partners whenever required
• Is responsible for the general documentation of project activities under him and prepares and answers all audit queries of all projects under him
• Receives reports from sub-grantees/ implementing partners, verifies and integrates into the mainstream periodic report ready for submission to lead agencies/ donor representatives
Preparation of expense notes for both hospital and project expenditures and assigning cost to relevant cost centres
• To carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisors.
