Job Purpose:
The Application Support Engineer is a member of the “Information System Team” responsible for following the development of hospital applications, providing adequate and timely support. Duties &
Responsibilities
• Manage the existing applications installed in the hospital and follow their evolution. Ensure the correct functioning of application system and those connected to it by monitoring, where available, logs and messages produced by the application system and by the basic software on which it is installed;
• Manage the integration of different software systems in the Hospital and their evolution and maintain a continuous relationship with providers for a continuous improvement of systems;
Be the focal point for all application issues, and verify the satisfaction of internal users and be the contact person for all applications in the hospital with suppliers;
• For new features, identify new application requirements internally with all relevant departments;
Follow the installation of the new features and execute acceptance testing;
• Provide training to users on hospital applications;
Cooperate in the installation of the systems, monitor their business continuity and the continuous usability of the services by the users, verify the functionality of the interfaces and activate and deactivate the individual software processes to guarantee said continuity of service in relation to specific operational contexts;
Verify with the supplier, the optimal configuration of the system, to guarantee the best balance between the services provided, the operational safety, the complexity / burdens of management and maintenance over time of the functions;
• Act to ensure the correct functioning of the systems and their operational continuity and guarantee the certainty of data protection;
As a member of the IT team, communicate regularly and appropriately to the team for a quick and faster resolution of issues
• Any other duties related to the professional line that may be assigned from time to time
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related disciplines from a recognized Institution
• Not less than 2 years’ experience in application support with programming background in a busy IT environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Nav / Business Central is an added advantage
• Not more than 40yrs of age
