Job Summary: For its work in Kampala, Uganda, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Partner Project Manager – National Position. As the Partner Project Manager, you will be in charge of planning, reviewing, reporting, and implementing the projects working with the partners.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate linkages, collaboration, and networking with other civil society organizations and governments, and other relevant institutions to enhance MI visibility and program activities
- Oversee the management of existing partnerships
- Support and guide planning, review, and reporting to ensure timely and quality implementation of the projects
- Lead the design and development of program strategies, plans with the partner team and ensures their alignment with MI strategies
- Support the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team in the development and implementation of monitoring, review, assessment and evaluation plans for improved program development and delivery
- Jointly with MI partner administration, ensure sound financial management of the projects and oversee all procurement efforts for supplies and services, ensuring that the processes are transparent and in line with MI and donor regulations
- Proposal writing coordination, especially on MI’s own projects
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a BA or (preferably) MSC in Public Health, Social Sciences, or other relevant disciplines
- At least five years of relevant experience managing similar projects
- Proven experience in project planning, proposal and report writing, networking, partnership-building, and working with INGOs
- Budgetary control and financial management, including the ability to read and understand financial data
- Conversant with disability/inclusion, Disaster Risk Reduction, Project Cycle Management, Gender, and One Health approaches
