Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Building, implementing, and providing support for CIB Customer facing applications. The required person will work with other Developers and product managers while carrying out his duties.
  • The Bank’s channels are transactional in nature, they interface and complement core banking application (Finacle) to make its offering complete.
  • Works closely with the Manager, Applications support as well as the Manager Channels Support, Peripherals and Integration support officers, developers as well as product owners to ensure excellence of the supported channels.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all existing and any new channels are working properly as per specification.
  • Liaises with the channels support L2 teams to resolve all issues related to channels.
  • Involvement in the review, validation, definition and testing of new features on existing channels.
  • Responsible for coordinating business support in-country, resolving business related significant issues to achieve the stated business objectives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the Stanbic Bank Officer Channels & Applications Support job must hold a First Degree in Information Technology
  • Unix & Windows operating systems
  • Database Management and SQL
  • Understanding of the Bank’s systems, processes, procedures, and data
  • Understanding the basics of team dynamics and participation in developing and maintaining a team culture.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is added advantage.
  • Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
  • Knowledge of coding languages (e.g., C#, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python,)
  • Experience with databases (MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, PostgresDB) and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
