Program Officers Innovation Program for Community Transformation

InPact seeks to recruit a Program Officers who will lead the advocacy for Immunization and HPV vaccination and also mobilize communities to increase uptake of HPV Vaccination in 4 districts of Ankole namely Sheema, Rwampara, Bushenyi, and Isingiro. The Program Officers will work will work under the supervision of the regional Program Coordinator to help the districts achieve greater and improved HPV vaccination through advocating to parents, influencers and decision makers to support HPV vaccination and linking girls to Vaccination centers. The
• Program officers will also work closely work with DHO/EPI and Health Center In charges, schools and key stakeholders supporting the Expanded Program for Immunization(EPI).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead in identifying and orienting HPV Vaccination advocacy champions including key community gatekeepers, Influencers and young people on HPV vaccination and its benefits
• Prepare and manage schedules for program Orientations, training, and advocacy in each their assigned districts
• Collaborate with district stakeholders including DHO, DEO and CDO’s offices, Schools, Media houses, religious and cultural Institutions to build support for HPV vaccination ensure coordination of stakeholder efforts to support the HPV Vaccination and advocacy program.
• Support preparation for and implementation of program activities, including close coordination with Health Facilities and other implementing partners, maintaining timelines and documentation of all InPact led program activities.
• Document all Program activities undertaken including capture of field stories,
Photographs and video clips.
• Collect all program related data and submit to M&E office on a monthly basis
• Prepare quarterly and other reports as required by donors

Required Experience
• The applicant should preferably hold a bachelor’s degree or a diploma in social sciences, Nursing or any other health related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience working with health and other development programs at sub national levels.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in advocacy and community mobilization
• Ability to manage and coordinate diverse tasks and facilitate relationships among multiple parties and especially build good relationships with district local government
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner
• Expertise preparing thorough, well-written, and concise documents
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, work independently, and maintain a high level of accountability.
