Monitoring and Evaluation Manager Aldelia

We are looking for a dynamic M&E Manager with vast experience in the education sector, preferably with a bias in STEM
• The M&E Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities and ensuring high quality and timely inputs. He/she should ensure that the company maintains its strategic vision and that M&E activities result in the achievement of our intended outputs in a cost effective and timely manner.

Main tasks:
Leadership
• Guide proactive and clear functional leadership across for development and full coordination of all M&E events and practices.
• Guide full, effective cross-functional working relationships between M&E and other functions.
• Participate effectively with M&E networks, practitioners and learning/research institutions to access, research, evaluate and promote the best available external practices and resources in M&E.
• Ensure programs are monitored, reported and evaluated in a timely manner
• Guide and mentor your direct report.
• Engage and build relationships with key partners and government counterparts.
Strategy Monitoring and Reporting
• Establish and strengthen a robust monitoring system to increase programs efficiency and accountability to internal and external partners.
• Track programs status using the established M&E systems that provide information on progress being made on each of the indicators in the M&E Plan
• Analyze and interpret the monitoring data/information summarized in a useful manner to inform management decision making.
• Coordinate with the Information Management unit to store data in both hard and soft form and disseminate appropriate information among respective partners.
• Lead the collecting, reporting and analysis of data and information on project activities.
• Ensure timely and complete reporting to partners in accordance with approved reporting formats,
Evidence based Learning and Reflection
• Promote evidence-based learning through undertaking assessments, baselines and evaluations including operations research and documentation.
• Analyze and provide monitoring data generated from M&E systems and used for management decision making, course adjustments and future designs through reflection and learning forums organized on a regular basis.
• Support all programs and or projects in documenting, disseminating innovations, best practices and new research findings related to M&E.
• Gather relevant information regarding best practices to program design, monitoring and evaluation from within and outside the partnership and share it with field staff to facilitate organizational learning and experience sharing.
• Take lead on disseminating evaluation findings and Document the major key lessons and findings from evaluations and operations audit and disseminate for organizational learning and decision making.

Assessments, Evaluations and Research
• Lead and support high quality assessments, baselines and evaluations in line with established donor related guidelines in order to promote evidence for informed decision making.
• Support and strengthen adoption and utilization of simplified for tracking annual outcomes for all programs/projects.
• Guide all research and needs assessments by monitoring the changing needs of target communities, identifying opportunities in line with consultancy period.
• Monitor and follow up on utilization of recommendations from evaluation findings.
• Conduct meta evaluations of all completed program evaluations to establish key learnings and recommendations to inform future evaluations.
Data Quality Assurance and Information Management Systems
• Guide periodic data quality assessments to ensure validity, integrity, precision, reliability and timeliness of all performance data; identify any deficiencies and suggest corrective actions
• Provide technical support to Program Managers on integration of the strategy into ongoing or new programs.
• Track timely implementation and reporting of programs and or project plans and provide timely data to inform management decisions
• Provide technical guidance to M&E teams in line with utilization of MIS systems
• Support application of statistical software for results-based monitoring and evaluation
• Adapt and implement tools and techniques to improve the quality and use of data for decision making

Qualifications:
Education
:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, or a related field with strong applied Knowledge of M&E data collection tools.
• Post Graduate Diploma in M&E

Experience:
• 5 years of professional experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting of projects or programs with at least 3 years in the Education sector.
• Experience in M&E online data management systems and Statistical Packages.
• Demonstrated research experience and skills, complemented by experience in collaborating with varying types of partners.

Skills and Competencies:
• Must have exceptional communication and presentation skills, strong teamwork and effective cross-cultural interpersonal skills.
