AutoCAD Draftsman Lafab Solutions

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced AutoCAD Draftsman to join our team. As an AutoCAD Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans for water irrigation projects. Your proficiency in AutoCAD and understanding of civil engineering or architectural principles will be crucial in translating design concepts into precise drawings. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:
• Create detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software for water irrigation projects.
• Interpret design sketches, engineering drawings, and specifications to develop accurate and precise drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and incorporate design changes into drawings.
• Ensure that all drawings adhere to project specifications, relevant codes, and standards.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines to ensure coordination and integration of drawings.
• Review and incorporate markups and comments from project stakeholders into drawings.
• Prepare and update drawing registers, ensuring accurate documentation and version control.
• Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on drawings.
• Maintain a library of standard drawings, details, and templates for reference and use in future projects.
• Stay updated on the latest AutoCAD software features, tools, and techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Ordinary Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman or a similar role.
• Must have completed at least one similar water irrigation project (500-2000 hectares).

Skills and Competencies:
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD software to create detailed technical drawings and plans.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering or architectural principles and practices.
• Ability to interpret design sketches, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to water irrigation projects.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in creating and modifying drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address design and coordination issues.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with project teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of drafting standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with other design software and tools is a plus.
