Duties and Responsibilities
• Represent the Bureau in Courts of law and attend to any other litigation related matters.
• Conduct legal research pertaining to legal representation services.
• Render strategic and sound legal advice to Management in all cases to mitigate legal, financial and reputational risks to the Bureau.
• Maintain URSB’s Court files and legal records pertaining to litigation and related matters.
• File and serve Court process accordingly and follow up on Judgements, Court rulings and orders of Court.
• Review laws, rules, regulations and policies applicable to the Bureau, which may be affected by new legislation, policy changes and developments in the administration of justice.
• Provide strategic legal advice to URSB and its clients on compliance with all legal requirements pertaining to the Bureau’s operations and mandate.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors and Head of the Unit.
Key Outputs
To represent the Bureau in Courts of law and handle litigation related matters of the Bureau.
Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor of laws (Honors) from a recognized institution is a MUST.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from a recognized institution is a MUST.
Personal Specification
• Possession of a valid practicing certificate is a MUST.
• Possession of a valid Process Server License is an added advantage.
