Qualifications And Experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a diploma in IT plus an IT professional certification (CCNA, MSCE etc.)
• At least two (2) years working experience in a similar role
• Demonstrate practical IT skills in areas like Windows Operating Systems and Linux Operating Systems
• Administration-level skills for at least two (2) years with server operating systems
• Must be willing to be called upon to serve during non-conventional working hours
Job Roles And Responsibilities
• Ensure that UCU Arua Information systems serves Finance, Library, Human Resource, Academic records and e-learning systems are running and serving their intended users.
• Train users on the proper use of hardware and software.
• Provide administrative support to the department of ICT services.
• Accurately record calls to the Information Technology Helpdesk using proper paper based and computerized systems and procedures.
• Assign calls to IT Department staff, monitoring progress with staff and external suppliers, keeping end users informed of progress.
• Respond to incoming calls in accordance with priorities and agreed service levels and provide excellent customer service to IT users.
• Manage the IT help desk and provide monthly issue resolution reports to management
• Perform any other duties assigned from time to time by management.
