Job Title: Manager Membership Development and Experience

Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services (UIBFS) is a Centre of Excellence in Financial Services Training in Uganda. The Institute is designed to promote professionalism, and inclusion through market-led training, research, and consultancy to providers and users of financial services. The Institute’s training programs cover Professional, Short & Executive, Specialized, and Post Graduate Courses.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct market and industry surveys and disseminate findings to the intended Stakeholders for appropriate actions in line with the division work plan.
- Manage member accounts and be the first point of contact for these accounts and ensure that member expectations are managed and fulfilled
- Organize membership activities, developments, and relations for the Institute as per the Institute’s work plan
- Identify and exploit business opportunities both in terms of research services and membership growth in line with the Institute’s strategy
- Oversees membership customer service process or system to ensure members are satisfied.
- Develop and implement a membership development plan, manage and set workflow priorities
- Develop and implement Member recruitment and retention campaigns.
- Interpret membership recruitment and retention statistics and review member research and make recommendations
- Update and distribute information to current members as well as prospective members.
- Develop and manage membership database and ensure that member information is up-to-date
- Coordinate the production and distribution of the Institute publications as per the Institute work plan
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Applicants should be Ugandans holding:
- Honor’s degree in, Mass communication or Marketing or Business Administration (Marketing options) or Public Relations, or law or International Relations, or any bachelor’s degree with a marketing professional qualification or postgraduate qualification from a recognized university/Institution
- Postgraduate qualification in any of the courses above
- Membership in a professional association (s)
- Applicants should have a minimum of Six (6) years of working experience with at least Three (3) years must have been at a supervisory level in public and relationship Management gained from a reputable Institution
- Key competencies: Customer Relationship Management, Leadership Development, Data analysis skills, Project management, Strategic Partnership Management, Strong research skills
- Previous experience in delivering research projects, Interrogating and analyzing datasets, satisfaction survey execution, and reports preparation.
