About US:
Women Rights Initiative (WORI) is an action-oriented women’s organization that was founded in 2007 in Uganda by three young women to respond and rise to the challenges of human and women’s rights, fighting poverty, create awareness of sexual reproductive health and rights, capacity building in leadership, and governance at grassroots levels. The organization’s main aim is to enhance the capacity of women and support their efforts towards their development and health. The organization has a particular interest in the plight of women and youths as they are most susceptible to psychological, physical, social, and economic vulnerability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Training GBV survivors on in modern farming/ business farming.
- Training survivors of GBV organic farming, safe pesticide usage and sustainable agriculture & garden preparation
- Demonstrate to farmers the best agronomic practices during trainings visits and farmer group meetings.
- Attending Planning meetings, monitoring and inspection of farmer’s progress.
- Attending Agricultural seminars and workshops organized district and other stake holders
- Preparing weekly a. monthly field reports and submitting them to the programme officer
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Certificate, diploma or degree in Agriculture Related fields
- A minimum of two years of related work experience
