World Vision Uganda (WVU) is a Christian relief, development and advocacy non-government organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. We currently work in 43 districts and have 48 Area Programmes implementing projects in health & nutrition, water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH), livelihoods & resilience, education and child protection. World Vision (WV) is committed to the protection of children and adult beneficiaries from exploitation and abuse and will not employ people whose background is not suitable for working with these beneficiaries. All employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of all applicable background checks, including criminal record checks where possible.
Due to expansion in scope of our programmes, we are now seeking for a qualified and passionate individual willing to share in our vision and join the team in the following role.
Position: Graphics Designer
Report to: Associate Director Communications
Location: Kampala – National Office
Duration: 1 Month
Advert Start Date: 14th March 2023
Advert End Date: 20th March 2023
Purpose of the position:
Coordinate with different programme managers to strengthen World Vision Brand Identity.

Outputs/Responsibilities.
• Coordinate with different programme managers to strengthen World Vision brand identity in areas including disaster management especially with refugee response and programmess/projects by developing communication products that include digital media, reports, publications, flyers, posters, etc.
• Design and lay-out of reports and other brand IEC products. Create concepts and ideas to visually communicate our brand and goals.
Partner with in-house communications team to design concepts for campaigns, events and other special projects
• Engage in internal communications activities for broad exposure to the organization

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience.
• University degree in Graphics design, Design specialisation or Mass Communications
• Experience in graphic design and use of graphic design software a must. You need to know how to use Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop at an advanced level.
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Innovativeness and willingness to learn
