National Content Coordinator East African Crude Oil Pipeline

The EITS Integrator Contractor (Electrical Instrumentation and Telecommunications Systems) part of EACOP project, requires the services of a National Content Coordinator.

Brief Description of Role:
Driving Implementation of the EITS Integrator Contractor’s National Content plan.
Align and coordinate with EACOP Company organization in
Uganda, on the topic of National Content (NC) and prepare specific reporting geared at achieving specific KPI’s pertaining to the EITS Integrator Contractor obligations under the EACOP project.

Key Responsibilities:
Interface with Local Authorities:

Liaise with Local authorities when required and be the direct local correspondent for any matters pertaining to National Content

Local Partners, Local Suppliers and In-Country Stakeholders Interface:
1. Interface to Local suppliers providing goods and services in line with overall delivery of NC commitments.
2. Maintain an active relationship with Local stakeholders with whom delivery of NC is associated – including training, vocational schools, institutes, universities.
3. Interface with Customer, Engagement & Participation on NC Matters:
4. Interface with the EACOP Co project team in UG and be the main point of contact for all National Content matters.
5. Understand the schedule and participate in EACOP National Content forums, initiatives, drives, events and seminars. Define a plan and Build/Develop Content for engaging in these activities in line with delivering commitments.
6. Coordinate, Track, Monitor and Report NC Implementation: Track, Monitor and Report on implementation of National Content commitments online (Supplier Management Portal) and on hardcopy.
7. Where required, coordinate the key project actors (GAC EI, GFS, PA, SNEF) and support in aligning delivery of their commitments
8. Implementation of the Project’s Industrial Relations Management System (IRMS)
9. From assessments, advice on areas where NC Enhancement opportunities can be deployed and achieved.
10. Identify risks and opportunities and propose solutions for mitigation
11. Regulatory Compliance: Work along with EACOP Co. to ensure regulatory compliance

Minimum Requirements:
1. We are looking for experienced staff who have the following. Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Business Administration OR Law OR Community Development or any related field from a Recognized and Duly Accredited University
2. Experience in National Content Management or Stakeholder Management or Customer Projects environment
3. At least 5 years’ Work Experience in a Recognized and Reputable Firm/Company
4. Fluent in English
5. Valid Driving License
6. Good Typing, Written and Spoken Communication Skills
7. Computer-Literate with Strong Skills in Microsoft Word Packages: WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT e.t.c
8. Self-Driven with a high level of professional and personal integrity
9. Experience in Oil & Gas Sector is an added advantage
