Qualification and Person Specification
• A Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Institutional Catering or its equivalent from a recognized institution. Three years working experience in a reputable Institution.
• Well-developed managerial, interpersonal and public relations skills. Knowledge of business and management principles and practices. Knowledge of strategic planning
• High moral character and proven integrity.
• Ability to Coach and motivate others.
• Capacity to meet tight deadlines with efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Head, direct and supervise the efficient operation of the different services of the House Keeping department.
• Supervise the cleanness of the rooms, public areas and compound
• Work hand in hand with other departments to ensure smooth running of the Hotel
• Check with the reception for accuracy and ensuring that revenue accruing from room occupancy is properly accounted for by the House Keepers and the reception or cashiers responsible.
• Control and supervise the movement and quality of linen issued to guest’s rooms
• Check and report to the Manager all maintenance work.
• Maintain all house keeping records including keys
