Job Title: Assistant Executive

About US:
Spotlight on Africa-Uganda Foundation (SoA-UF) is a registered international NGO that undertakes highly impactful charitable projects for the poorest communities in Mbale City and surrounds in the areas of Education, health, clean water and economic empowerment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing the SoA-UF teams & budget.
- Managing communications & drafting reports to donors
- Monitoring expenditure & costs against delivered benefits of projects
- Planning and designing projects
- Defining projects’ governance arrangements
- Coordinating projects & managing inter-dependencies
- Appointing individuals to project teams.
- Collecting data on projects
- Managing risks on project’s successful outcomes
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Master’s Degree Social Work and Social Administration plus a Post Graduate in Project Planning and Management or any related field
- At least three years of experience.
- Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes.
- Sound project case development & approval skills;
- Understanding of the procurement process, including negotiation with third parties;
- Good Knowledge of budgeting & resource allocation procedures;
- Sufficient seniority & credibility to advise project teams on their projects;
- Ability to pre-empt problems before they occur.
- Effective leadership, inter-personal and communication skills
- Ability to command respect & create a sense of community among team members.
