Health Promotion International Ltd (HPI) is a legal entity registered in Uganda on 28th July 2010 under the companies Act CAP.110, with our principal office located at Plot 83 Bukoto Street in Kamwokya, Kampala. HPI is a credible Environmental, Social, Health and Safety service provider in Uganda. We provide tailor made services that uniquely respond to existing needs of infrastructure development projects by facilitating capacity building, social risk management, accelerating access to health services, restoration of social assets for Project Affected Persons (PAPs), collaborations and partnerships/stakeholder engagements and fast-tracking contractor HSE compliance requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Program is implemented effectively, professionally, and in accordance with the culture and practices of the local population.
- Update the stakeholder map within the project area and Implement the Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP).
- Scheduling stakeholder meetings and facilitating communication between the project manager and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
- Managing project management documents such as reports, workplan, budget as directed by the project manager.
- Initiate and work with District Local Governments, district partners, and other stakeholders to technically implement the project work plan.
- Participate in project meetings to provide updates on project implementation.
- Maintaining data and compiling daily activities for easy and timely reporting.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Works and Social Administration, Development studies or related field, and at least five years of proven experience.
- Respectful of HPI’s code of ethics and conduct.
- Has experience in implementing social risk management/safeguards on projects, and WASH
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Pays attention to detail.
- Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexible, able to cope with stressful situations
- Able to manage personal schedule to not interfere with professional work,
- High levels of honesty and integrity.
- Ability to communicate in the local language is an added advantage
