To support all relationship managers and focus on; providing a central office-bond contact point for the customer, responsible for the actual preparation of credit applications and supporting loan documentation-Credit Origination fulfilment, monitoring all loan facilities in the portfolio (on a joint responsibily basis with Credit Division) on a daily basis against set parameters/ conditions, adding value to client through the identification of cross-selling opportunities as well as sales fulfilment support and client visits.
Direct, Control and coordinates all banking, lending and operations associated with the assigned portfolio of accounts with the intention of monitoring acceptable risk and maximizing bank’s return from each client.

Daily Responsibilities:
• Credit Appraisals
1. Prepare and submit credit proposals with Credit Policy guidelines and requirements in a liaison with Relationship manager whilst maintain high standards of Credit Analysis.
2. Collect and analyse vital on clients (Market Intelligence) through annual reports, management accounts, interim reports, industry reports to acquire in depth knowledge which will facilitate comprehensive review of assigned accounts relationships and relationships assigned to the Relationship manager.
Obtain account analysis and profitability figures for facilities appraisal purposes.
• Liability Growth
1. Grow the banks liability book and help attain capital adequacy rations on the balance sheet.
2. Prepare product proposals and do presentation to both potential and existing customers in line with intelligence collected.
3. Regular Monitoring of inflows and out flows o n the assigned portfolio in order to achieve a healthy downstream growth of value chain. i.e. Funds for onwards lending to our customers of our clients.
4. Acquisition of new customers and offer advisory services on the unique products and services offering to them.
On-board customers to tailor made solutions that benefit their needs and justify their pricing.
6. Cross sell other bank products i.e. Mortgage, Personal loans on check-off etc.
• Income Generation.
1. Achieve set income targets with the RM (interest income, fees and commissions, forex income)
2. Ensure all income is collected accurately and in good time.
3. Interest expense containment through active negotiations with clients in the assigned portfolio.
• Operations and Audits.
1. Daily monitoring of accounts to ensure al accounts are within the approved limit.
2. Taking remedial actions by pursuing customers to regularize overdrawn positions.
Deal and confirm investment interest rates in liaison with Treasury.
4. Attend to Audit queries, perform snap checks monthly and ensure that any anomalies/exceptions are sorted out.
5. Continuous follow up with branches, treasury, Trade Finance, transactional banking to act on customers instructions.
6. Prepare daily and monthly reports on liability, asset and income for the assigned portfolio.
• Cost Containment.
1. Optimal use of stationery and recycle where applicable.
2. Assist Relationship Manager in containing interest expense.
