Communication Specialist Office of the President

Title: Communication Specialist
Reports To: The Programme Coordinator

Qualifications: A Masters’ degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Development Communication or relevant field from recognized Institutions. Minimum of 10 years of experience designing and implementing effective internal/external communications strategies, underscored by effective communication (writing) skills with Government of Uganda Ministries, Departments and Agencies and at least 5 years similar working experience with Donor funded Programs. Proven experience and successful track record of implementing citizen and stakeholder engagement strategies and techniques. Proven ability to deal with media and diverse stakeholders, including civil society and advocacy groups at national level, Excellent writing, speaking, presentation, interpersonal and diplomatic skills as well as ability to work collaboratively in a multi-stakeholder team environment and Proven experience managing crisis communication strategies. Shall have a proven integrity record.
