Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe.
Job Summary: Provide strategic and operational leadership support to Baylor-Uganda to develop, implement and monitor quality and performance improvement and promote a culture of continuous improvement to meet the needs of our clients.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Development:
- Identify and analyze opportunities for improvement in the Baylor-Uganda programs
- Annually develop and implement the Baylor Uganda’s total quality management strategy with policies, programs, and initiatives
Quality Systems:
- Develop and implement a total quality management strategy with relevant initiatives
- Engage and collaborate with the senior leadership and staff to institute a culture of improvement in the implementation of all Baylor Programmes and activities
- Provide input to strategic decisions and build QI capacity of the support the staff to design and implement QI activities on a continuous basis
- Support the administration and finance staff to ensure understanding and compliance with established administrative processes among staff.
- Provide ongoing input and direction to continuous improvement of work planning and execution, office procedures and internal controls.
Data Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting:
- In collaboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation team, facilitate and conduct monitoring of measures for improvement
- Evaluate trend data and share innovative data visualization to effectively communicate performance
- Support development of the dashboards for the significant performance indicators
- Ensures that Activity milestones goals are met and adhering to the approved budget
- Oversee development of new tools, and measurement methods and systems to ensure the implementation meets the quality standards
Change Management:
- Lead training and other development efforts to build quality into processes.
- Ensure that changes are supported through implementation and sustainable practice.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Public Health, public administration, project management, health policy and management or other relevant discipline
- At least ten years progressive experience in managing multimillion-dollar projects with expertise and skills in financial management and performance monitoring
