To provide strategic leadership and management, Risk Assurance and high-level oversight in the implementation of HOSFA mission, policy decisions and strategic plans in order to achieve the organization’s mandate
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the board of Directors to identify, create and implement strategic plans to actualize company/HOSFA objectives.
• Timely preparation and provision of periodic and annual progress/status reports including audited accounts to the Board and presentation of required Committee reports and high quality reports to Board
Identify, recruit, train and develop a talented team of employees who can lead critical departments and manage strategic business functions.
• Monitor financial operations and ensure controls and accountability processes for all company resources that are in place.
• Monitor company operations, ensure employees, and service delivery practices comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
Fundraising through developing and preparing project proposals and ensuring accountability and prudent management of funds and assets from local and international sources.
• Develop the organizational culture and promote transparency and collaboration throughout the Company.
• Develop partnerships with company stakeholders, shareholders, regulators and other relevant parties.
Identify potential risks and opportunities within the organization and its environment to protect service and stakeholder interests.
• Identify potential sources of investment and organize fundraising efforts.
• Put in place a result framework for monitoring and evaluation of the various company projects to ensure self-sustainability.
• Ensure timely development and review of relevant Policies and Procedures to support effective implementation of the departmental and Company mandates.
• Represent the company at social and corporate events in ways that strengthen the brand and communicate the company’s message.
Qualifications and other eligibility requirements
• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Management studies/ Business Administration or related field from a recognized Institution, a Bachelors degree (Hon) in Arts or Humanities from a recognised University. A Certificate in Administrative law shall be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5years’ practical experience two (02) of which MUST have been at Senior leadership or Management Position(s) in a reputable organization
Excellent people leadership and strategic management skills, strong, communication, presentation and negotiation skills; Superior Problem solving and decision making competencies; ICT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet applications among others).
• High moral character and proven integrity, innovative, creative and self-driven with superior capacity to manage organizational risks
• Demonstrable Business acumen / entrepreneurial skills and exposure to the management of donor projects.
• Demonstrated excellent leadership, human resources management, communication and organizational management skills, strategic planning, solid understanding of M&E.
