ENGINEERING MANAGER





Duties & Responsibilities

 

Overall management of technical departments including design, laboratory and Survey.

Responsible for coordination between the design and the production teams.

Responsible the design review in response to site conditions.

Review, prepare and evaluate engineering calculations required for the design of projects and supervise the production of drawings for construction.

Work with other engineers, foremen, surveyor, Safety and environmental Officer or any other staff involved in the project, in a teamwork and professionalism.

Coordinate and direct development and testing of materials, processes or systems related to civil engineering works.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

 

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or in a related field.
  • Should hold a professional Certificate in Technical Surveying and Civil Works Technological Studies.
  • Certification in project management will be an added advantage.
  • 15 years of experience working on international construction projects in designs and technical engineering standards.
  • Must be member of any internationally recognized professional engineering body.
  • Advanced Knowledge in software programs in AutoCAD 2D design and architecture software from Autodesk, Work Context of Cartomap Topography 4.0 and 4.2 technical software including knowledge in MS office tools, word processor, calculation sheets (Visual Basics), Technical software for Prost Topography from Sierrasoft. Civil construction Technical and Designing skills.
  • Good knowledge of structural design and interpretation.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Good team leadership skills.
  • Track record of undertaking projects at the international level
